I went on a tour down Great Ocean Road on Saturday. It's this windy road along the ocean where you can easily see kangaroos (yay - first time I've seen them), koalas and these rock formations in the ocean called the Twelve Apostles. They're pretty magnificent. AND, I went in a helicopter tour over top of the Apostles, for a better view. A HELICOPTER!! Very very cool. This pic is taken from the chopper. I have better (brighter) pics from up high, but most of them have the chopper's reflection in them. Bah! I'll put up my album of all the pics soon.
It was a long day of driving, but we had a great tour guide (he's been to Tofino & all over the island) and all the people (12 of us) were really nice.

Were the 'roos wearing boxing gloves and have stuff in their pouches?
Yes. In fact, I had a boxing match with one of them. It was also part of the tour - I forgot to mention it.
I'll bet thumpers everywhere are honoured to have 12 rocks named for them
Yes, well, apparently it's 1940s marketing...they used to be called "the Sow and the Piglets" (because one is quite big) but they thought if they made the name biblical then more people would come. And it worked! 2 million people a year go to see them.
