Cape Trib

I'm back in civilization after spending half the week in the tropical rainforest of Cape Tribulation. Very beautiful and jungle-y. I did lots of trekking, including a night walk tour in the forest, hunting for crocs (seriously) but we didn't see any. Saw lots in the day time though. And lots of bugs, birds, snakes, spiders and other creepy-crawlies though. Bandicoots! What a fun name for an animal, eh? And an owl! It tried to shit on our tour guide. haha!

The beaches up there are so gorgeous and pristine...it's a national park so the rainforest and mountains come right up to the white sand beaches and clear waters. It's so amazing. Got a bit sunburnt but not too bad.

Now I'm in Port Douglas until I fly back to Melbourne on Sunday. It's a sleepy holiday town...nice, a bit yuppie (it's mostly resorts), but it has vacant beaches and it's very relaxing. Hostel is really great too.

Hope you're all well. 4 more days until Canada!!
