Miranda's friend Joseph is in town for the UN Climate Change Conference (that "Kyoto thing" as my mother calls it). So Mir introduced us virtually and we ended up going to a Canadian culture event put on by the conference at the Biodome. It was crazy! For those who don't know, the Biodome is a rainforest ecosystem, which means it is one giant jungle. No expense was spared for this party. It was a mingling/schmoozing night with unlimited food and booze (literally tables upon tables of free booze). Walls were covered in Canadian art, some of the servers were Canadian actors, doing hilarious things, entertainment was around every corner. There was a man giving out free hugs, and there was also a gospel choir. It was fantastic. In addition to the biodome, we went to the top of the tower in the Olympic stadium, and saw the entire city -- very fun. And I made a new friend -- thanks Mir! Joseph is great fun.
I think I had the worst hangover in my entire life on Wednesday though. Oy. It was rough.

ah.. can't get anymore Canadian than booze. seriously. We were talking at work the other day about weddings and expenses. In the discussion was one person is from Japan, one from the Phillipines, one from India and one from Nepal. They were adding up cost of transportation, photos, rental hall, etc. and no mention of booze?! The booze at weddings kills us.
Was Pauly Shore at the Biodome?
