It was Sarah's 30th birthday this weekend so we planned a huge party for her and made a day of it. Friends came in from Ontario and stayed the weekend. Jessie & I took her out on the town starting with breakfast at our fav, L'express, and then we had a fun afternoon of shopping and girly stuff. About 50 people came to the party (!!) so it was great. Sarah had an awesome time, which was the goal.
And I found a faboo new bakery in the east (re: french part of town) called Co'pain. It's play on words -- 'pain' means bread and 'copain' means good friend or boyfriend (copine is girlfriend) and it's a bakery co-op, hence the 'co' ... very cool and I got her fancy pancy birthday cake for the low low price of $10!!! That's the east for you...french and cheap.
Spent yesterday cleaning the house and making blueberry-bran muffins, and borscht! yum! And then went to Marie's for dinner where she filled me with french Cassoulet. Yum...!
