Okay, we've moved on from -30 to freezing rain and sidewalks cased in ice about an inch thick. Oh ya, and then it's freezing torrential rain (can I say that?) on top of that, so picture us walking on a frozen pond, in the rain. Not very easy! The sanders apparently can't operate in this heavy rain, so we have to wait until it lets up before they put sand/salt down. Very interesting walking to work. I've never seen such thick ice on a sidewalk before.
In other news, I'm officially a Quebec resident which means my tuition for the term is a grand total of $1,191.13 (each class is only $55.61 and the rest is student fees, etc). Does it get any cheaper than that?? For once, Quebec's sovereigntist ways are doing me some good.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Cheap is right! I thought with our NDPs and tuition freeze that were were laughing over here... apparently not! Maybe I can actually afford a change in profession....hrmm...
you have to live here for 12 consecutive months before you can get that rate. and pay taxes to the bloq. but other than that...it's that easy (some people actually move here and work for a year, just to get that rate)
aaaaaaaah... well that's a cool idea, eh?
kick ass.
they lure you with the low tuition, but watch out, soon they'll turn you into a separatiste, or worse, a conservative (if you believe the latest polls about the conservative upswing). is it time for a west coast intervention perhaps?
i'd LOVE a west coast intervention...if that means either a)you guys coming here or b)me going there! either way, i'm in!
