Pink Oranges & Flus

So I've been sick for about a week. I'm "better" now which means I can go to work without receiving dirty looks and I can function normally. I took 2 days off work last week (which is a first -- I rarely miss work) and spent most of the weekend sleeping and lounging around with Fred. I am still having trouble getting through a whole night without a frantic round of coughing (or two) but so be it.

In other news, I was peeling an orange yesterday (need Vitamin C) and it was looking pretty pink underneath. So I groan and think I've accidentally picked up a grapefruit that's disguised as an orange. But then I smelled it. And then I ate it. Nope, it was an orange. Except it was the colour of a pink grapefruit. Anyone seen this before. I think it should be called a "Pink" so we aren't confused, not an "orange"...but just my thoughts...

oh, and only 10 more days until Fred & I go home for Thanksgiving! Yay!

I think those are called 'blood oranges'. They're from Italy. The question is...did they make you feel better?

Blood oranges are GREAT! But these were 'minneolas' or 'tangelos' (crosses of oranges, tangerines and grapefruits). they are usually orange but I guess these ones got a bit more grapefruit in them because they are light pink. And yes, they made me MUCH better!
