Two things I keep hearing, repeatedly in my travels and I'm such a nerd that I need to vent:
- "pacifically" to mean "specifically". As in "I pacifically asked him to wait on the bus."
- "VietMANese" to mean "VietNAMese". The country is VietNAM, not VietMAN.
- "Canadia" to mean "Canada". "Oh, you're Canadian? What's the weather in Canadia right now?" Honestly, I get this a lot. And most people don't realise that they've just made up a country name. This even happened while eating Vietmanese. Geesh!!
